Can I still use an iPod touch in 2026?

Yes. The iPod touch plays your music, videos and podcasts offline, works with wired or Bluetooth headphones and connects to Wi-Fi. Its last software update was iOS 15 (7th generation), so some newer apps won't install, but music and media work perfectly.

What's the best dumbphone for a digital detox?

For calls and texts with days of battery, choose a simple Nokia such as the Nokia 225 4G or Nokia 8110 4G. If you still need WhatsApp, look at a 4G model. Browse our dumbphones or read our guide to the best dumbphones in the UK.

Will an old phone work on UK networks?

UK 3G networks have now switched off. Most older phones still make calls and texts over 2G, and 4G models work normally, but mobile data on older 3G-only phones will be very slow. 2G will be phased out by 2033, so for long-term use pick a 4G phone.

Lithium batteries can lose some capacity in storage. We test every device, and if it doesn't hold a charge properly you're covered by our warranty and 30-day returns.
